About Fairweather Woodworks
Fairweather Woodworks was founded in 2015, after more than three decades in emergency service and a lifetime spent learning at his father’s side in the woodshop and on wood boats. Craftsmanship was never a hobby; it was a quiet inheritance.
For many years, the shop lights glowed in the evenings and on weekends, a steady counterbalance to a demanding career as a fire chief in Juneau, Alaska. While public service shaped his discipline and integrity, woodworking remained the constant thread — the place where patience, precision, and purpose came together in tangible form.
Now retired from the fire department, he has devoted himself fully to the work that was always meant to be his life’s pursuit. Each bowl, table, loom, and commissioned piece is created with intention and care designed not only to be beautiful, but to endure. The same ethic that defined a career in service lives on in every detail: thoughtful design, uncompromising quality, and deep respect for the people who will welcome these pieces into their homes.
Still based in Juneau. Still crafted by hand. Still grounded in the belief that meaningful work cannot be rushed.
At Fairweather Woodworks, we stand behind every piece completely. Our commitment to quality and to you is unwavering.
